About Magnolia Plumbing & Sewer
Magnolia Plumbing & Sewer is a plumbing and sewer company in Seattle’s Magnolia neighborhood, at 4027 W Bertona St. We work on homes in Magnolia and the neighborhoods around it: side sewers and sewer lines, drains, water heaters, leaks and plumbing emergencies.
Who we are
We’re a locally based plumbing and sewer company on W Bertona St, serving Magnolia and the nearby neighborhoods of Interbay, Queen Anne, Ballard and Fremont. You can reach us at 206-593-3737, 6 AM–10 PM, every day (Pacific Time).
Our approach is simple. We find the cause before recommending a fix, explain the options in plain terms before work starts, and handle the permits the job requires. If a problem traces back to the City’s side of the line, we’ll tell you, and point you to the right agency.
What we focus on
The name says it: plumbing and sewer. Many plumbing problems in an older Seattle neighborhood end at the side sewer, the private pipe from the house to the City main that the owner is responsible for. We treat the whole path, from the fixture to the main, as one system. When a job crosses into SPU, SDOT or Public Health territory, we explain which agency is involved and why.
How a job works
- Call or send a request. Tell us what’s happening. If water or sewage is coming up, we’ll walk you through stopping it first.
- Find the cause. Clear the line or open the access, then look: a camera for sewers, a test for leaks and water heaters.
- Options in plain English. What we found, where it is, and the repair choices. You decide before work starts.
- Permit, work, inspection. Where Seattle requires a permit (SPU for side sewers, Public Health for plumbing), the work is permitted and inspected.
Licensing and registration rules
In Washington, plumbing contract work must be done by a licensed plumbing contractor, and Seattle limits side sewer work in the street or sidewalk to registered side sewer contractors. You can check any contractor on L&I’s Verify a Contractor tool. If a side sewer job reaches the planting strip, sidewalk or street, ask whoever you hire to confirm their side sewer registration before work starts.
What you won’t find on this site
No made-up reviews or testimonials, no review counts we don’t have, and no badges or awards we haven’t earned. When this site describes a Seattle rule, permit or fee, it links to the official source so you can check it yourself.
